Abstract
The basis of this overview article are German-speaking monographs and anthologies as well as articles from professional journals published in 2006 and 2007. The following professional journals were systematically reviewed: "Sportwissenschaft", Spectrum der Sportwissenschaften", " Sportunterricht/Koerpererziehung", "Sportpaedagogik", "Bewegungserziehung", "Haltung und Bewegung" and "Motorik". A few topical areas in physical education introduced within this overview are currently being discussed, therefore, in order to present the entire view, publications before this reporting period as well as from 2008 will be included. The key words "Standardization, Profiling, Professionalization" describe the current physical education discussions; therefore this year's overview was composed according this motto. Verf.-Referat
