Abstract des Autors

The article describes the scientific discipline called Comparative Physical Education. One of the goals of the article is a proper translation of the term Comparative Physical Education into the Czech language. The author offers some reasons why he uses the term “komparativní kinantropologie”. According to some authors Comparative Physical Education is based on Comparative Education but the uniqueness of kinantropology, area of specialization and different methodology enables its independency. The aim of the author is to introduce the readers the definition, development, content, subject, possible directions of research and methodology of Comparative Physical Education. We also present a list of scientific publications and information resources of Comparative Physical Education. We point out some significant international and Czech publications devoted to the discipline. Verf.-Referat
