Abstract des Autors

In accordance with the straight lines of regression of the relation of oxygen uptake with heart rate, which are documentated in the publications of 1954 by Astrand und Rhyming, the present study shows possibilities of application in diagnosis and training control. The direct arithmetical inclusion of the athlete's age and weight at the time of the performance tests permits high correlating statements of adaptabilities in training independent of the bicycle ergometric loading methods. After registration of the bicycle spiroergometric data specific straight lines of regression were determined for the investigation of oxygen uptake as a result of heart rate with factors of correlation ranging from 0.96 to 0.99 for each athlete. The cardio-respiratory reactions of different performance athletes and the different loading methods are presented. Comparative views are easy to handle in training by the registrated heart rate for sports physicians and athletes. The heart rate permits estimated conclusions about the consumption of energy during training and competition. Verf.-Referat
