Abstract des Autors

This study was designed to examine the influence of rowing specific technic on the results of an isokinetic rowing ergometer test (IR) as compared to a Gjessing rowing ergometer test (GR). 10 rowers (RT) and 10 unspecifically trained volunteers (UT) performed an exhausting steptest with measuring of lactate, heart rate and stroke rate on both ergometers. In group UT the individual anaerobic threshold (IAT), the 4 mmol/l lactate threshold (AT) as well as maximal work load on IR were each significantly lower than on GR. In group RT, only the IAT was measured significantly lower than on GR, whereas the AT and the maximal work load were almost identical in both groups. On higher work load intensities, the rowing specific technic apparently influences the test results on IR to a higher degree than on GR. Verf.-Referat
