Abstract

It is general knowledge that various ski simulators are available which allow preparatory musculoskeletal training and cardiovascular work prior to recreational skiing. But since a number of years less classic simulators offer more specific preparations for competitive skiing. Together with the wide diffusion of activities where negative work significantly contributes to the overall performance and the specific increasing interest of the eccentric participation in alpine skiing, the authors were prompted to verify and compare the intra and inter specificity of the Surface-Electromyography (SEMG) of the lateral cyclic motions under various conditions on two different ski simulators, the "Pro-Fitter" and the "Skier's Edge".
