Verf. analysiert die Volleyball-WM 2006 der Männer einerseits unter theoretischen Aspekten als angehender Sportwissenschaftler und andererseits unter praktischen Gesichtspunkten als verantwortlicher Trainer. Mit seiner Studie will er das Problem lösen, welche Methoden zur Bewertung der spielerischen Leistung geeignet sind, wie die gewonnenen Ergebnisse zu interpretieren sind und wie man die Bedürfnisse der Praxis mit einigen neuen Methodologien verbinden kann. Verwendet werden statistische Daten des offiziellen WM-Protokolls, Daten der tschechischen Mannschaft (Data Volley) und eigene Beobachtungen als Trainer. Dabei werden die Erkenntnisse zu folgenden Aspekten vorgestellt: 1. Stärken der tschechischen Mannschaft; 2. Schwächen der tschechischen Mannschaft; 3. Statistische Daten zu den Spielen der tschechischen Mannschaft aus dem Programm DATA VOLLEY; 4. Traineranalysen und Interpretation/Argumentation; 5. Attribute des Weltspitzen-volleyballs; 6. Gründe für das Nichterreichen der Weltspitze der tschechischen Nationalmannschaft. In den Schlussfolgerungen wird auf folgende Erkenntnisse verwiesen: 1. Große Erfolge im Angriff korrelieren in der Regel mit dem Gesamt-erfolg; 2. Geringer Erfolg in den abgeschlossenen Handlungen (Angriff, Block, Aufschlag) führt in der Regel zu einem Gesamtmisserfolg; 3. Misserfolg in unvollendeten Aktionen (Zuspiel, Feldspiel) hat in der Regel keinen prinzipiellen Einfluss auf das Gesamtergebnis. (Schnürer)

Abstract des Autors

The paper focuses on the assessment of team-performance in volleyball and its application in praxis based on the assessment of the World Championship in Volleyball in 2006 from the point of view of the coach of the Czech Republic team and form the perspective of a participant in the World Championship. The paper points out the limitations of research of the assessment of team-performance in the Czech Republic in comparison to the observation methods used by the statisticians in top volleyball teams. The paper presents two approaches - qualitative and notational analyses. The data were teken from a survey carried out by the author on the assessment of team-performance. It compares three data sources - the official statistics of the World Championship, the data obtained by the statistician of the Czech Rebublic team using the Data Volley software and qualitative assessment by the coach. The paper evaluates their applicability in both praxis and theory. The results reflect the basic attributes of world volleyball - pace and successful offensive attempts after a perfect reception. Next to this, the causes why the Czech team does not belong to the world top teams - low quality of offensive combinations, set endings, and individual defense play. The statistical results are then interpreted by the coach. We should establish new approaches of the assessment that would combine both quantitative information and the coach´s subjective point of view. Verf.-Referat
