Abstract des Autors
19 volunteers with different aerobic capacities performed an individually adapted interval exercise test to investigate possible limiting factors for the repetitions of intermittent exercise. The exercise intensity was varied between 60% and 100% VO2max (cycle ergometer). There was no accumulation of the oxygen debt or deficit with increasing number of high intensity (3-12) bouts. Additionally there was no relationship between the number of repetitions and VO2max, VE, RER, VE/VO2, and <Lac>. Only the heart rate increase from the second to the last bout was higher in subjects with many repetitions and reached often values beyond those in the incremental test. Verf.-Referat
