Abstract des Autors

The effects of the training parameters duration, frequency, distance and intensity on performance parameters were studied in 118 male runners (27 to 47 years). They recorded their training in detail, which was correlated to spiroergometric parameters at the end of the year. Maximum oxygen consumption rose markedly and parabolically with intensity, but smaller and almost linearly with the distance run and duration per year. The oxygen pulse showed similar correlations. The speed attained at the anaerobic threshold showed the clearest changes related to all parameters, including parabolic increases with increasing distance, duration and intensity, and a hyperbolic increase with increasing frequence. The results make possible exact training recommendations for long distance runners when specific performance parameters need improvement. Verf.-Referat
