Abstract des Autors
The question dealt with in this study was, if a several years' specialized training of speed resp. endurance performance would result in different adaptations within the neuromuscular structures, and if a given training load would bring about a specific fatigue reaction of the neuromuscular system. A group of sprinters (n = 14) with a mean age of 17 years and a sample of long-distance runners (n = 13) with an average age of 31 years carried out an event-sepcific training load. The resting and postload values, which were collected through S/D-diagnostics, were subjected both to a statistic pair- and group-test. The group-test showed trend differences in particular for the M. rectus femoris with reference to the resting value of both groups. Concerning the M. vastus medialis a significant decrease in excitability due to the given training load could be proved for both groups. A load-induced hypoexcitability of the M. rectus femoris was only found for the group of sprinters. Verf.-Referat
