Abstract
Muscle fatigue is of central importance in exercise physiology, but the mechanisms and causes of fatigue are still not fully understood. This volume provides the most recent and advanced information on the complex subject of skeletal muscle fatigue presented by leading investigators in the field. Emphasis is placed on new fundamental data concerning the mechanisms involved in fatigue. The contributions include various experimental models ranging from isolated muscle fiber to the whole body.
