Abstract
In the study presented here, the short- and long-term variabilities of the arterial lactate concentrations are analyzed at rest, with submaximal loads, and at reference points at lactate concentrations of 2 and 4 mmol/l, which are obtained from the lactate dynamics during incremental test protocol. Finally, an attempt is made to make a statement about the validity of these performance-diagnostic parameters for the investigated groups and individuals from the comparison of the variabilities of the reference points of the aerobic-anaerobic transition at lactate concentrations of 2 and 4 mmol/l with individually determined reference points (ventilatory-respiratory determination).
