Abstract

Electrocardiographic (ECG) disorders observed in junior rowers were analyzed and related to their training experience. The ECG-examinations were carried out prior to a laboratory exercise on rowing ergometer, simulating the run on 22000 m-distance. Those athletes, in whom any deviations from the normal resting electrocardiogram were found, not disqualifying them from the test exercise, were re-examined in the 5th minute following the exercise. A number of different ECG-disorders, indicative of adaptive changes of the circulatory system to increased work loads, were found. They were much more frequent and training experience-dependent in boys than in girls. Verf.-Referat
