Abstract des Autors
This chapter discusses match observation and match analysis as a central reference point for training control and planning, since load and requirement profiles provide relevant insights for individual playing positions and their specific training methods and activities. First, the chapter explains the importance of the game structure of basketball in offense and defense, an approach which is applied to both offensive and defensive tasks. Second, a distinction is made between four types of game observation, which differ in terms of standardization, the application of precise or subjective criteria and, above all, technical realization. Third, this chapter explains how computer-aided game analysis can serve as the basis for position-specific endurance training in basketball. The results of this study show significant differences in game-specific requirements and provide approaches for a further individualization of the training process. Finally, some relevant best practice recommendations are given.
