Author's abstract

Sports ballroom dances is a type of sports activity acquiring for mastering of new motor actions, manifestation of responsivity, ability to attention concentration and switch and many other parameters. All these qualities or abilities in the theory of physical education are associated with the term of dexterity - human ability to master new movements quickly, effectively, rationally, successfully solve the tasks in changing conditions. Coordinating abilities lay the basis of dexterity. Keeping a certain pose in static and dynamic regimes is one of specifics effecting the quality of performance of the standard ballroom dance program. Thus balance assessment is acute for sports ballroom dancers along with the state of coordinating abilities as a whole. The scale of static and dynamic balance has been worked while making the test on the hardware-software complex SD Biodex Balance-System for ballroom dancers. Asymmetry of making work one or another leg associated with lapsided development has been allocated in sports ballroom dancers, testifying to costs of the system of training athletes and the necessity of selection of means and methods of balance development. The use of assessment of coordinating abilities using Biodex system and the worked test exercises based on classic aerobics gives the full idea of the state of elite dancers' coordinating abilities.
