Appearance could be considered as significant part not only of Physical self. At present it could be taken as important aspect even of Self concept. In case of connection with gender, appearance is one of changeless and easy recognized characteristics. From childhood women and men are polarized by this. Care of appearance and appearance itself are instruments of corresponding to specific gender, but also corresponding to social state of subjects. Ideal now days body (thinness) involves to features (strong will, self-control). If we choose passive control, we get quickly results. In our research we focus on interventions of plastic surgeries. Results in this topic concern 35 women between ages 25–35 (voluntary participation). To find out their Physical self, subjective part of Body image and gender characteristics was the aim. Used questionnaire: BSRI (Bem, 1974), Behavior focused on the Body (Fialová, 1997), POP (Válková, 1995). It was found that women prefer to get diet way correcting their bodies, especially health diet. We could discuss it in context with their socioeconomic state. Most important for their realistic bodies in dimension of estimation are adjectives - ugly and wrong. Others adjectives show the tendency to more comfortable and friendly ideal body. Masculine gender confirms their work position as we supposed. Verf.-Referat
