Abstract des Autors

Today’s, at all levels, we meet various actors being involved into decision making processes about the society. They also have access towards public sources. It concerns the sport area too. Sport has become an issue linked to everyday life of citizens in municipalities and regions. There, we can meet 3 groups of actors – politicians – officials – experts. The question is rising how these actors cooperate, in which way they are involved in sport policy and if principles of democracy are respected. In the Czech Republic, after reform of public administration in 2002, the competencies, as well as responsibilities changed at al levels of public administration. In our study, we present results from research focused on so-called municipalities with extended power. These municipalities act as natural regional centres having governance power in some areas of civic life (educational departments, land registers, etc.). Attention is paid to the position of sport in the structure of municipal authorities, to the existence of advisory bodies, and to the collaboration of participating actors including political parties when the sport policy is developed.
