Abstract

Der Beitrag über die olympischen Strukturen und Organisationen handelt in erster Linie vom Internationalen Olympischen Komitee und seinen Aufgaben. So besteht die Hauptaufgabe darin, die Olympische Bewegung nach Maßgabe der Olympischen Charta zu führen. Dabei ist die höchste Pflicht die ordnungsgemäße Durchführung der Olympischen Spiele zu sichern. Es werden des Weiteren noch andere Institutionen und Partner genannt, die bei der Organisation der Olympischen Spiele eine Rolle spielen. cba

Abstract des Autors

The supreme authority of the Olympic Movement is the International Olympic Committee (IOC) founded in 1894 which has its headquarters in Lausanne. The IOC chooses its own members, and is therefore a self-constituent organisation. The members are IOC representatives or „ambassadors“ in their homelands, not delegates of their countries. The main task of the IOC is to promote the Olympic Movement in accordance with the Olympic Charter. Its foremost duty is to award the Olympic Games, which is then staged by the host city.
