Abstract des Autors
Lesions to the lateral ligaments of the ankle occur frequently but are not always as benign as assumed. The various therapeutic approaches used, adapted to the gravity of the lesions which is not always easy to establish, should all be aimed at achieving recovery of a stable pain free ankle without laxity or excessive mobility while limiting iatrogenic complications and therapeutic cost which includes the length of work stoppage. This multicentric study was conducted to evidence the contribution of a contention orthesis to obtain better results and improved cost effectiveness. Verf.-Referat
