Abstract
Equilibration requiers integration of informations coming from proprioceptive, vestibular and visual systems. Those sensorial afferences are focused on vestibular nuclei of brain stem which integrate them and allow the organization of motor reflex answers such as compensatory ocular(-vestibulo-ocular reflex - VOR) and body (-vestibulo-spinal reflex - VSR) movements. Different sensorimotor chains can be clinically and mechanically tested: oculography and posturography are the basis of those investigations which mainly interest the sport practician, specially those which concern types of sports requiring high accuracy equilibrium.
