Abstract des Autors
We begin with a brief overview of several important issues in the overtraining literature in sport psychology. While we do not intend to cover exhaustively this growing body of literature, we do hope to represent its strengths and weaknesses and to focus on its points of conflict. We will then present what we believe is the first comprehensive, systemic model of overtraining. We will attempt to illustrate the model both by description and example. Finally, we will discuss the implications of this model for the prevention and treatment of the overtraining phenomenon. Verf.-Referat
