Abstract des Autors

To prevent low back pain and secure employment we started a mode of low back school. Participants were divided in 2 groups of 9 building workers at an average age of 46.7 years. The modified low back school included teaching of good spine posture and spine gymnastics. The first results show a reduction in frequency and intensity of pain. The functional capacity in day life measured with the help of the Hannover (FFbH-R) questionnaire showed an improvement. A significant reduction of the inability to work was not achieved in the first group of this pilot project. The first group accepted this program so well that a continuation of the training for other members of the firm is planned, firstly in order to reduce pain and also to reduce the time of the inability to work in the future.
