Abstract des Autors

Teaching methods were compared to determine to what extent the broader aims of Physical Education are actualized by each methods. Four intact class groups (N=97 boys) were involved in the investigation. Three groups of boys were each taught according to a specific method for one term. The fourth one served as control group. A representative aspect from each domain was chosen for evaluation. All boys were tested before and directly after the experimental period. The following teaching methods proved to be the most successful in each domain: reciprocal style for psychomotor domain; Reciprocal and inclusion styles for cognitive domain; Inclusion style for affective domain. No significant difference was found for the social domain. The command method did not rate higher in any of the domains. Not one of the three teaching methods is more suited than the others in resulting the stated aims of Physical Education in the domains. It appears that the interchange of teaching methods is necessary to ensure the balanced development of the child. Verf.-Referat
