Abstract
The paper presents empirical results describing problems women have to deal with in cultivating sport. A theoretical background has been given by analytical model placing girls into the circle on influence of both the social and cultural system together with the stereotype of women found there, as well as the system of sport. These two systems project different expectations to women. Results have confirmed the existence of a dependence between interests in sport by the parents and sport activities of the questioned women athletes. These point to the lack of preparation by the sport environment (coaches) to accepting the role of an athlete as dominating in womens life. Verf.-Referat
