Abstract
The authors describe the typical pathology acpuired from skiing (Alpine and Nordic): distorsion of the metacarpophalangeal joint of the thumb with an injury of the ulnar collateral ligament. The form of the trauma and surgical technique in the case of laxity, documented from dynamic X-ray, are described. In fact the anatomical restoration of this important ligamental structure could guarantee a good functional result, without slack infirmity of the metacarpophalangeal joint of the thumb. Verf.-Referat
