Abstract
The development of physical fitness is an important objective for individuals with handicapping conditions, and this development may be enhanced if a norm-referenced test is available to help determine unique needs, plan and implement programs, and evaluate physical fitness. The Project UNIQUE Physical Fitness Test (UNIQUE Test) and training program was developed and published in response to this need (Winnick Short, 1984b). The book was designed primarily for day-to-day use by practitioners, and therefore technical information about test construction was not presented in detail.
