| abstract |
The purpose of the present report is to compare males of various ages in their heart rate (HR) and systolic blood pressure (SBP) response to submaximal exercise of different intensities. The data reported here are from the Tecumseh Community Health Study in which the characteristics of the inhabitants and the community are known in detail (Montoye, 1975). A comprehensive medical examination was available to all members of the family as a part of the investigation. This was partly responsible for the overall participation rate (83 ).
