Abstract

Anatomy is brought to life in Living Anatomy, a unique new book which teaches a hands on method for understanding human movement. Especially developed for students of physical education, coaching, and athletic training,the living anatomy technique is purely functional. Instead of depending on rote memorization, students gain a working knowledge of anatomy by locating a structure on their partner and then demonstrating the structure by manipulat- ing the movement of their partner. In the first part of Living Anatomy the basics of anatomy (the language of anatomy; bones, joints, muscles, and related structures; and the living anatomy technique) are covered.
