Zusammenfassung
This study once again confirmed that in order to be successful in a specific sport, an athlete should have appropriate values of height, mass and BMI index for this sport. These values can be determined based on statistical analysis, but we can also explain the desired ranges of the above-mentioned parameters based on qualitative biomechanical analysis, which allows us to understand the biomechanical essence of the existing exceptions. This means, that sportsmen’s physical parameters should be considered in biomechanical conjunction with each other, giving us a reliable tool for the optimization of athletes’ selection and training.
