Abstract des Autors
Challenge at hand is environmental contamination from lead shots used in shooting trap, skeet, and sporting clays, and from spent lead bullets at shooting ranges. Some countries have already banned lead shots for hunting and sports shooting. Lead in the environment poses a growing health threat - excessive lead in the human body can damage genes, cause cancer, impair reproductive and thyroid functions, and lower resistance to infectious diseases. Recommends a strategy for collecting and recycling lead shots.
