Abstract des Autors

It is well understood that men’s sports generally attract larger crowds and generate more revenue than women’s sports. This outcome leads many to think that men’s sports have always been quite popular. History, though, tells a very different story. Women’s sports today are quite similar to men’s sports in the past. This suggests that all women’s sports need today is more time. Although time will help, we also need to acknowledge that men’s attitudes towards men and women’s sports is yet another headwind that women face in their effort to grow their respective sports.
