Abstract des Autors
Abstract des Autors
This paper examines the extent to which physical education teachers reveal colonial discourses with regard to their teaching methods and with regard to refugee students. For this purpose, three theoretically derived areas will be examined in more detail: The transfer of obedience and discipline, the transmission of western-christian norms and values, and the transmission of monolingual standards. The research is based on interviews with 31 physical education teachers from different types of schools, which are analyzed against the background of a postcolonial theoretical perspective and by means of discourse analysis. The findings provide starting points for the topicality and continuity of colonial elements in physical education.
