Abstract des Autors
The purpose of the present study was to examine the effect of an eight sessions PETTLEP imagery intervention on learners’ skill acquisition of eye-hand-coordination. 40 students (Mage=16.62 yrs; SD=1.03) were assigned into four groups: physical practice, imagery intervention plus physical practice, imagery practice, or a control group. The study consisted of eye-hand coordination five phases: pre-test, intervention, post-test, retention and transfer. During the intervention phase, PP group completed 80 physical practices; the IP+PP group completed 40 imageries and 40 physical trials, the IP group completed 80 imageries; and the CON group was engaged in a distraction task. During each experimental phase, the participants had completed the Sport Motivation Scale6 (SMS-6). The results of variance analysis with repeated measures showed that physical practice in comparison to imagery and combined practices had most effect in eye-hand coordination for novice learners (P≤0.05).
