Abstract des Autors

The game of cricket has grown in popularity over the past years. Seasons have become longer, and thus, players may be more prone to injuries. Therefore, training programs need to ensure that injuries are prevented or minimized. This review sought to determine which injury prevention strategies are available. There is a paucity of literature that has examined injury prevention strategies for cricket. What is available has focused mostly on the main injuries that occur during cricket with limited information on prevention programs. Furthermore, most programs are not multifactorial in nature, which is an important consideration when training and designing conditioning programs.
