Abstract des Autors
This article aims to discuss athlete consent as a legal base for data transfers to third countries for anti-doping purposes, under EU and German law, including by summarising the legal relevance of international anti-doping requirements and expectations. It presents the most salient features of enforceable EU and national German data protection law, so as to arrive at an assessment of the relevant merits of the use of athlete consent.
