Abstract des Autors

The notion of multiculturalism and multicultural education is not a novice, it started to develop as early as the 19th century and it has been embedded in the concept for revival of ancient Olympism, although under another form. This idea is fundamental for the philosophy of the French baron Pierre de Coubertin. The existence of ethnical and racial diversity is characteristic for contemporary society in the world and in Bulgaria as well and sometimes the diversity underlies the confrontation and lack of unity among people. It is important, from pedagogical and sports pedagogical perspective, to find ways of reducing the negative effects of this disunity and confrontation by realising the differences in our globalised multicultural society.
