Abstract des Autors
The purpose of this report is to analyse the situation of women's rowing by gathering and analysing statistical information on female participation in Olympic games and World Rowing Championships for a period of 40 years, from 1975-2015. The data show that the women crews and athletes that have taken part in the both major events for rowing have increased for the above period. However, the ratio in percentage between men and women participants is negative and it varies around 63-64/37-36 % for the last years. The conclusion is that more effective steps have to be undertaken in order to increase women's participation in the major rowing events.
