Weltmeisterschaften sind auch für das Team hinter dem Team etwas Besonderes. Bei der U20-WM 2015 in Neuseeland gehörten drei Physiotherapeuten zur DFB-Delegation. Jeder ein Fachmann auf seinem Gebiet, jeder mit der Intention, beste Bedingungen für die 21 Spieler und den maximalen Erfolg zu schaffen. Das Attribut, hautnah an der Mannschaft zu sein, trifft dabei vor allem auf sie zu. Worauf es dabei ankommt, welche Ausbildung sie benötigen und was man während einer WM erlebt, berichten die drei Physiotherapeuten.

World Cup tournaments are something special also for the team behind the football players. the team of the German Football Association (DFB) for the 2015 U20 World Cup in New Zealand was accompanied by three physiotherapists. Each one was an expert in their field and tried to establish the best conditions for the 21 players and to lay the basis for maximum success. Particularly the physiotherapists were very close to the team. In this exclusive report for the magazine "Leistungssport", the three therapists describe what is important, what training is required, and what they experienced during the World Cup tournament.
