| abstract |
The study of the classification of muscle injuries is going through a period of great scientific interest, the incontrovertible testimony is represented by the great numbers of studies available in literature. However, some basic aspects of the problem as, in our view, the objective staging of the extension of the lesion, its proximity to the tendon structures and some specific nosological framework , as the fascial lesions, have yet to be fully clarified, particularly in relationship of their strong prognostic value. In this paper, after a brief historical overview of the study of classifications of muscle injuries, we will discuss some specific issues that, in our opinion, require special consideration. Lo studio della classificazione delle lesioni muscolari sta attraversando un periodo di forte interesse scientifico, ad incontrovertibile riprova del quale fanno da testimone i numerosi studi recentemente apparsi in letteratura. Tuttavia, alcuni aspetti fondamentali del problema quali, a nostro avviso, l’obiettiva stadiazione dell’estensione della lesione, la sua vicinanza alle strutture tendinee ed alcuni quadri nosologici particolari, come le lesioni fasciali, debbono essere ancora perfettamente chiariti, soprattutto in funzione della loro forte valenza in termini prognostici. In questo lavoro, dopo un breve excursus storico dello studio della classificazioni delle lesioni muscolari, affronteremo alcuni temi di approfondimento specifici e tali da richiedere una particolare riflessione. |
