Abstract
How skeletal muscles adapt to a repeated stimulus depends, to a large extent, on the neuromuscular recruitment of muscle fibers as well as on the inherent characteristics of the muscles themselves. The specific types of fibers that make up individual muscles greatly influence the way your clients will adapt to their training programs. There is a reason why some people get bigger muscles more easily than others and why some people are able to run for much longer periods of time without fatigue. In order to design programs that will work best for each of your clients, it is important for fitness professionals to understand at least some of the complexities of skeletal muscles. Einführung
