The study presents new findings about different validity of an apparatus Lactate Scout in particular zones of a lactate curve. Validity of the measuring apparatus Lactate Scout was assessed on the basis of a correlation coefficient by means of the method of so-called golden standard, i.e. laboratory apparatus Biosen C-line. Overall validity of the device is high (r = 0.95; sy|x = 0.32). Detailed assessment of validity in individual zones revealed significant differences in correlation coefficients of validity; the measured zone by 2 mmol/l (r = 0.18; sy|x = 0.98), the zone between 2 and 4 mmol/l
(r =0.73; sy|x = 0.69), the zone between 4 and 10 mmol/l (r = 0.88; sy|x = 0.48) and the zone above 10 mmol/l (r = 0.17; sy|x = 0.98). Based on our results, we recommend using the mobile lactate measuring apparatus Lactate Scout only in the zone
2-10 mmol. We consider this apparatus unsuitable for analysis of values in the quiet state and values by 2 mmol/l. We do not recommend using this apparatus for training management and evaluation of sport performance and physical fitness in maximum loading intensities. Verf.-Referat
