Abstract des Autors

The aim of the thesis is verification of effect to uses the NMES and TENS methods and to make recovery processes in the skeletal muscles more effective immediately after the submaximum intensity load. In this way to extend the theoretical area concerning rehabilitation in sport. The experiment verifies how quickly and effectively the stimulation by means of stimulator affects relaxation processes in the skeletal muscles. For this purpose a special stimulator has been designed and constructed. It uses the NMES and TENS methods. This stimulator has met the determined criteria for the use of sanitary engineering and has been certified by the State Quality Control Institution of Medicines. A smaller decrease in muscle force after load proves that the relaxation processes inside cells of the skeletal muscle are faster and more efficient
compared to the relaxation processes without using the stimulator. Students of the University of Defence in Brno took part in the experiment. Twenty-seven participants (only men) aged 22 ± 1.4 were assigned into both the experimental and control groups. Their maximum isometric force extension was measured in the knee joint. The load was simulated through exercise on Leg extension PROFI DO 104. The application of the TENS, NMES and FES methods has influenced the effectiveness of the recovery processes to such a degree that the muscles after load (m. Quadriceps) have shown a bigger maximum isometric contraction by 6 % compared to the same muscles which were treated only with passive relaxation. The difference between the measured values was 26.44 N ± 26.81 N, which was about 6.44 N more compared to the assumed subject analysis. This difference is statistically significant. From the collected data and their subsequent statistical processing, it may be concluded that regeneration by means of the combination of TENS, NMES and FES methods has a positive impact on the value of maximum isometric muscle contraction after load and that this method improves the effectiveness as well as rate of recovery processes inside a muscle.
