Abstract des Autors

The article presents core specific problems in questionnaire-based survey of sport activities of children and the youth and the material and spatial conditions of their sport realization. Already the terms – sport, physical activity, organized and unorganized sport are being understood differently not only by different respondents, but also the researchers. Girls‘ understanding of the term – sport is more comprehensive and is close to the European Sports Charters‘ definition of sport – „…all forms of physical activity…“ (MŠMT 1994) – including i.e. strolls, bicycling, dance etc. Oppose to that, boys perceive „sport“ more specifically as a competitive activity (training practise, performance as such, participation in the competition). And this is why it can happen that the resulting numbers are similar among boys and girls. Inaccurate definition of the specific sport activity can cause difficulties too. Respondents‘ answer – skating does not implicate whether inline skating, ice-skating is meant. This can be shown in the vast diversification of sport as well as physical activities in the last decade. Verf.-Referat
