The purpose of the research was to study the indices of speed endurance, heart rate in athletes going for different sports. These are the first and original studies on the definition of speed endurance using the method and apparatus worked in the laboratory of physiology of physical exercises of the Institute of physical culture, sport and rehabilitation medicine of Kazan federal university. It is of special importance in allocation of sports perspective for selection of those who start doing physical exercises for speed endurance. As proved within the research, speed endurance of students engaged in various sports games is considerably higher than in the ones who do not train regularly. It is assumed to be caused mainly by the fact that game kinds of sport refer to the category of speed-power physical exercises, facilitating development of speed endurance. Establishment of the correlation of the characteristics of speed endurance and heart work was one of the tasks of the present research. As shown by the results, the higher the indices of speed endurance in the testees, the lower heart rate reaction is to the subjected test load, testifying to feedback between the quoted two indices.
