Abstract des Autors

The aim of our study is to determine and formulate significant phenomena in the
athletes life’s career by selected risk sports (freeskiing and freestyle snowboarding)
and extend the existing knowledge of the question of risk sports by implementation
of the lifespan approach. Based on identified phenomena we define the theoretical
model of in the life’s career of chosen risk sports (freeskiing and freestyle snowboarding) athletes. Research sample was composed of male (11) and female (6) riders ranging in age between 17 and 33 who compete or lecture in freeskiing and freestyle snowboarding. Data was collected through three focus groups, one individual interview, seventeen lifeline methods and observation. To data processing was used software ATLAS.ti 6.0. The analysis and interpretation of data was based on the grounded theory. The resulting dynamic theoretical model is composed by four factors: factor of individualization, social factor, external factor and factor risk sport, which blend together within three domains: significant events in the past, “here and now” and significant events in future.
