Abstract des Autors

The present research was devoted to the 80th anniversary of the faculty of history of physical culture, sport and Olympic education of Russian state university of physical culture, sport, youth and tourism. In its work with students the faculty is trying to develop the pedagogical process and science in compliance with modern requirements. The basis of the history of physical culture and sport as an independent science was laid in the beginning of the 30-s. Nowadays the faculty collective realizes pedagogical activity within the program of teaching the subject in RSUPCSYT and according to the plan makes researches of acute problems of the history of physical culture and sport. The faculty works at formation of educative environment of Olympism: theoretical basics of Olympism are being worked, the Master's program "Olympic education" has been worked, approved and is being realized. Relationships with International Olympic academy are being successfully developed. In its work the collective of the faculty strives to keep up with the times, basing on the best traditions of pedagogical and scientific activities set by its founders whose names will never be forgotten.
