Abstract
65 Trainer nahmen am 21. Kongress des nordamerikanischen, mittelamerikanischen und karibischen Leichtathletiktrainerverbandes („North America, Central America, and Caribbean Track & Field Coaches’ Association“ (NACACTFCA)) teil, der vom 6.-8. Oktober 2011 in der historischen mexikanischen Stadt Mérida stattfand. Der Kongress stand unter dem Thema „Die Kunst und Wissenschaft des Leichtathletiktrainings“. Der Präsident der NACACTFCA und Vorsitzende der IAAF-Trainerkommission, Victor Lopez (PUR), fungierte als Hauptredner. Die weiteren Referenten waren: Carlos Cavalheiro (BRA), Alain Jean Pierre (HAI), Raul Barreda (MEX), David Johnston (USA), Peter Pratt (BAH), Dennis Österberg (SWE) und Richie Mercado (USA). Die wichtigsten Vorträge waren: „Die aktuelle Situation des Trainerberufs“ (Victor Lopez (PUR)); „Praktische Aspekte des Schnelligkeitstrainings“ (David Johnston (USA)); „Die Kunst und Wissenschaft des Ausdauertrainings“ (Carlos Cavalheiro (BRA)); „Dreisprung als Spiel“ (Peter Pratt (BAH)); „Der 400-Meter-Sprint“ (Raul Barreda (CUB)); „Das Olympische Solidaritätsprogramm“ (Alain Jean Pierre (HAI)); „Die Entwicklung des Speerwurfs“ (Dennis Österberg (SWE)); „Der Einsatz der Kinovea-Software zur grundsätzlichen Auftreffanalyse“ (Richie Mercado (USA)). Der 22. NACACTFCA-Kongress findet vom 4.-7. Oktober 2012 in Nassau, Bahamas, unter dem Thema „Neue Grenzen der Trainingswissenschaft“ statt. Schiffer
Abstract
Sixty-five coaches from countries throughout the region convened in the historic Mexican city of Mérida for the 21st Congress of the North America, Central America, and Caribbean Track & Field Coaches’ Association (NACACTFCA), entitled the Art and Science of Athletics Training, from 6 to 8 October 2011. The NACACTFCA president and chairman of the IAAF Coaches Commission Victor Lopez (PUR), was the keynote speaker and the line-up of lecturers included Carlos Cavalheiro (BRA), Alain Jean Pierre (HAI), Raul Barreda (MEX), David Johnston (USA), Peter Pratt (BAH), Dennis Österberg (SWE), and Richie Mercado (USA). The main presentations were: The Current Situation of the Coaching Profession (Victor Lopez (PUR)); Practical Applications of Speed (David Johnston (USA)); The Art and Science of Endurance Training (Carlos Cavalheiro (BRA)); Triple Jump: The Game (Peter Pratt (BAH)); The 400 Meter Sprint (Raul Barreda (CUB)); The Olympic Solidarity Programme (Alain Jean Pierre (HAI)); The Evolution of the Javelin (Dennis Österberg (SWE)); Using Kinovea Software for Fundamental Impact Analysis (Richie Mercado (USA)).
