Abstract
In ski jumping not only the jump length is important, but the judges score for the technical performance of the jump in general and the landing phase in particular. Scientific research related to ski jumping, as well as the current literature, has been focused towards the take off, the first flight phase and the flight phase itself, considering the landing phase of less importance. Consequently, this limits the amount of research addressing the landing phase in ski jumping.
