Abstract

This bibliography is the second in NSA dealing with all four of the throwing events. The first one was published in NSA 1/1988. In later issues, there were two bibliographies each about the hammer throw (NSA 2-3/1997) and the javelin throw (NSA 1/1998, 2/2004) and one each dealing with the shot put (NSA 4/2003) and the discus throw (NSA 3/2003). The present bibliography contains 111 articies and books from the years 2004 to 2010. lt is subdivided into four chapters, each dealing with one of the four throwing events. Within the chapters the publications are ordered alphabetically by author name. This bibliography has been compiled by using SPOLIT, the sports literature database of the Federal Institute of Sport Science (BISp) in Cologne, Germany (www.bispdatenbanken.de, free access), and SPORTdiscus, the database of the Sport Research and Information Centre in Ottawa. In addition, some of the articles were found by a “free search” on the Internet and in the Central Library of Sports Science at the German Sports University in Cologne, and others are from the private library of the author.
