Abstract

The main motor activity forms in basketball are running, jumping without a ball, or jumping with dribble. Duration and direction of locomotion movement are determined by basketball playing rules, techniques and tactics. The positive influence on the basketball playing effectiveness has an individual physical preparedness of each basketball player. The main indices of the preparedness are the performance time and power of different movements, the height of different jumps (Jozwiak, Wagner, 1998, Karipidis, Fotinakis, Taxildaris, Fatouros, 2001, Stonkus, 2003). The aim of our work was to estimate the movement activeness of high performance women basketball players by the kinematical (1 min duration intensive jumping on one leg) and the dynamic indices and to compare them to the same indices of sprint runners and high jumpers (n = 10). Methodics: lt was used the methodics of tensodynamometry. The onset jumps were performed taking off with one leg (right and left) and with two legs. and 1 min duration jumping on one leg (100 ± 4 jumps). The jumps were performed on the tensoplatform 1-12-3A, the curves of kinematics (ta,. tp) and dynamic (F) indices were registered cm the screen of medical monitor MM-24-01. Duration of take-off (ta), flight time (tp) and strength indices were estimated. From these indices were calculated: movement speed V (V (m/s) = 9.8 x tp/2), relative Power Ng (Ng (W/kg) = Fsv x V (m/s), muscle reaction Kr (Kr (1/s) = Fa/Fsv x ta) and the jump height h (h(cm) = 122.3 x tp2). There were examined 10 basketball players from women basketball team “Šviesa” and 10 sprinters and high jumpers. Mathematical-statistical analysis was performed using the program STATISTICS. Results: It was established that basketball players had better results performing jumps with two legs (especially these indices: V, Ng, Kr, h). The best forwards players had better results of V (2.74 m/s) and h (38 cm) indices, comparing to average indices of the basketball team. The muscle reaction indices of basketball players performing jumps with right, left and both legs are markedly lower comparing to sprinters and high jumpers. The fatigue of basketball players leg muscles is lower up to 30 s (when jumping on one leg for 1 min), but greater from 30 to 60 s comparing with sprinters and high jumpers fatigue. Verf.-Referat
