Abstract

The permanent analysis of the results of elite athletes and interaction between fitness and Sport performance allows identifying the tendencies of sports. The aim of the research was to define interaction between the indices of players’ competitive experience, age, height and Sports results in the European men’s handball championship 2006. Data from official statistical documents were taken and statistical analysis (means, standard deviation, correlation) of the data of 273 subjects, and 47 matches was carried out. Before starting championship players had been played of 70±57 international matches and had been scored 70±57 goals in average. participants had been played less 17 matches than participants in European Championship’ 2004 year (87±62) and had been scored 98 goals less than participants of the Atlanta Olympic Games. The participants were 27,8 ±3,8 years old, and of 191,1 ±5,7 cm height. Participants of the greater experience took higher places. Participants of the European Championship’ 2006 were 0,5 years younger than participants of the European Championship’2006 (28,3 ±3,9), and 0,7 years younger than participants of Athens Olympic Games. Players experience had had greater influence (r2=0,1126) on winning than the age (r2=0,0873), and height (r2=0,0021). Verf.-Referat
